An educational psychologist, who faced the major challenge of chronic illness, Hilary reached a turning point when she met Marshall Rosenberg, founder of Non Violent Communication (NVC).
From discoveries made on a spiritual journey that took her to Germany, America and back to the UK, Hilary blends shamanic insight, NVC, A Course in Miracles and meditation into her teaching and practice.
“I am simply picking up the mystical threads of existence,” says Hilary. “A universal theology is impossible but a universal experience is possible and necessary.”
Hilary, thank you for taking the time to talk to us and being one of the ‘folks for a world that works’, can you begin by telling us about yourself and your big passion?
Grandmother first. The world needs wise grandmothers. I have a spiritual practice and I devote time to it everyday. The world is the effect of our collective efforts…. thus if we are functioning effectively the world will picture that harmony. A grandmother is no different to anyone else, this world needs wise people. Wisdom is awareness of spiritual principles, a wise person utilises those principles, applies them in all situations and reaps the resulting benefits. I want… A world where my and everyone’s grandchildren can naturally express their true identity
What would a ‘world that works’ look like to you?
Indescribable to those still focusing on fixing what is irreparable. The same as the one envisaged by those focused on escaping this world to live in a world of forgiveness.
What is stopping us from creating a ‘beautiful world we all know in our hearts is possible’?
Nothing is stopping us.
“I spend my time with the universal experience of love, weaving myriad paths as the one leading us back home. All is mystical, direct experience, translated and expressed, temporarily through this physical vehicle,” she adds.
